The Freindorf volunteer fire brigade (Linz-Land district) went on a rescue operation on Tuesday at 7.35 p.m. A Mercedes with a foreign license plate left the road at the intersection of Traunuferstraße and Ansfeldenerstraße and landed on an embankment. Passing drivers saw how the car driver wanted to drive over the steep slope and alerted the police. A breathalyzer is said to have struck. The fire brigade supported the towing service in salvaging the Mercedes and returned an hour later.
