The construction of a new kindergarten for three groups in the municipality of Attersee am Attersee has officially begun. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on Tuesday in the presence of Provincial Councilor Michaela Langer-Weninger (ÖVP), Mayor Rudi Hemetsberger (Greens) and numerous guests of honor. The actual construction work will start on November 2, 2022 and is expected to last a year.
The state and municipality are jointly investing around 2.1 million in the new construction of the children’s educational facility. One million euros come from the budget of the municipality of Attersee, around 1.1 million euros are contributed by the state of Upper Austria. The building has ecological thermal insulation with wood fiber insulation boards and an environmentally friendly air heat pump heating system.
Mayor Hemetsberger thanked the state government for the financial support, “as well as our predecessors in the Attersee municipal council, who got the project off the ground.”
Provincial Councilor Langer-Weninger emphasized the future prospects for the Attersee children: “With the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Attersee kindergarten, we as the state of Upper Austria are promoting and supporting a sustainable childcare and training facility. I warmly congratulate Attersee on this great project and wish the construction phase a smooth one.”
