117 young members of the volunteer fire brigade in the district of Vöcklabruck passed the gold fire brigade youth achievement badge. It is the highest badge that can be achieved with the fire brigade youth.
The second and last part of the test took place in the Attnang fire station. The girls and boys had to prove their knowledge and skills in front of the examiners in eight disciplines. All 117 young fire brigade members passed the exams with flying colors. They can now switch to an active status with their fire brigades with excellent training.
Fire brigade president Robert Mayer, who was present at the final event, said: “I am proud of our fire brigade youth and thank the youth workers for making their free time available to the fire brigade.”
