Attack in Linz: Young boys hit victims with a punch

At around 1:20 a.m. the police were called to the new railway bridge. In the Straßerau area, the police officers met a 22-year-old from the Liezen district and his 21-year-old friend from Linz.

Both stated that two strangers had demanded money from them at an inn. The 22-year-old replied that he had no cash with him. One of the perpetrators then punched him in the face. The Styrian fell to the ground and was further injured by the unknown in the upper body. The two attackers then fled.

The escape did not last long: a short time later, the officers were able to arrest the perpetrators – a 16-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district and a 13-year-old from the Kirchdorf district. The 13-year-old, who is not of legal age, was handed over to his supervisor.
