Swiss Post brings something to everyone – or maybe not. The residents from the rayon around Hausleitnerweg in Linz know this only too well. No post was delivered there for days, according to the criticism of the residents.
An OÖN reader describes how his mailbox has remained empty since October 13 – waiting for the mail to be sent was in vain. Eventually he became active himself, and at the beginning of this week he finally managed to “get hold of” his post. The anger is great, also for the other victims.
The “causa” is not an isolated case, problems like this one also occur again and again in other areas (we have reported).
Absences due to illness
On the part of the post office, one cannot understand the long period of time in which no letters were delivered. There have been absences due to illness in the said rayon in the past two weeks, but he was looked after by other colleagues, it is heard from there. Deliveries were made every few days – specifically every two to three days.
Especially if you don’t receive any advertising or letters that are sent with eco tariffs and thus with longer transit times, the impression can arise that the mail is delivered less frequently than every two to three days, even if this is regularly the case , according to the company’s explanation.
If the postal items were not distributed to the households for two weeks, the post warehouse would “pass over”, it is said. With Eco tariffs, the term is two to three or four to five working days.
In general, difficulties with deliveries are currently primarily due to sick leave, according to the information from the Post, at the same time, like all other sectors, there are currently personnel challenges.
