In mid-October, Paul Lendvai had to cancel his planned reading in Sierning due to illness. Now the well-known journalist is coming to the Rudensaal at 7.30 p.m. on Friday, November 4th at the invitation of the “Literaturschiff” cultural association to present his new book “Verified Austria”.
Paul Lendvai, born in Budapest in 1929, has lived in Vienna since 1957. Since then, Lendvai has made a name for himself as a correspondent for the Financial Times, ORF reporter, ORF director and head of the Europe studio for many years and is now one of the most important Austrian journalists. With “Very Tested Austria” he reports on the development of Austria since the Second World War and focuses on the critical analyzes of various personalities – who shaped the fate of the country. What role do charismatic personalities play in Austrian politics? Why do people keep succumbing to political seducers and what is it about anti-Semitic and xenophobic resentment in Austria?
Paul Lendvai provides answers.
