In the Amstettner town hall, the blessing of the house is once again crooked, and the political mood is high. The last municipal council meeting already escalated on the fourth item on the agenda. After Mayor Christian Haberhauer (VP) had submitted the catering for a business reception of the city in the Hausmeninger workshop for “early approval” to the town hall fractions, the municipal council should have subsequently decided 10,642 euros for the three-course menus eaten by the guests. The SP, which only received the invitation on the last day of the registration period, saw itself as the largest opposition party being ignored more often with the approach of the VP-Greens town hall coalition. Because they saw themselves and the city parliament in front of accomplished deeds, the Reds closed their laptops, went home and threw the municipal council meeting, which would have been explosive. For example, an item for resolution would have been pending that Haberhauer had dismissed in the previous meeting because figures were missing. The city would be willing to cushion the inflation of the second division soccer team SKU Amstetten. “Any amount of what it’s supposed to cost isn’t on it again,” grumbles SP faction leader Helfried Blutsch before the repeat meeting that Haberhauer has scheduled for today to start at seven in the morning. It is doubtful whether Morgenstund has the gold in his mouth. The SP regards the early morning as a “punishment” from the mayor. He has not commented on why he gets the mandataries out of bed so early. Resolutions are now valid if at least half of the municipal council is present and has not overslept.
