The brand, which has belonged to the Austrian shoe manufacturer “legero united” since 2000, was founded in 1991 by Martin Koller and has been responsible for it ever since. Think! was designed by Martin Koller as a sustainable brand, the collections have been manufactured exclusively according to sustainable standards since it was founded in 1991, according to the company with around 60 employees in Kopfing, which was the first shoe brand to be certified with the Austrian eco-label and the Blue Angel in 2015. In 2022 Think! also voted top brand in the sustainability category by German textile and shoe retailers.

Long tradition in Kopfing

The shoe models are manufactured in up to 200 manual work steps exclusively in Europe with European suppliers. The company’s own repair service in Kopfing guarantees maximum durability. “For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a timeless attitude,” says Martin Koller. Koller’s grandfather settled in Kopfing in 1923 with a shoemaker’s workshop and a leather business, thus founding a successful family business. In the 1950s, Martin Koller’s father developed the Marko shoe factory from the workshop. For more than 40 years, the company exclusively made men’s shoes. In 1990 Martin Koller took over the management of the company.

He focused beyond the pure men’s shoe business on ecologically manufactured, healthy shoes with a high aesthetic standard for men and women. Even after the integration of the Think! in the company legero united in 2000, the strategic management of the collection development was in the hands of Martin Koller. Think! shoes are now sold in more than 20 countries.

Koller’s successor Christoph Mayer has been with the company since 2014. “I look forward to operationally managing the development of the future Think! collections and working closely with Martin Koller on all design developments. We will continue to delight our customers with timeless, individual design, high-quality materials and sustainable production. Slow Fashion’ is our motto.” Design, technical development, quality specifications, material decisions are carried out at the Heading location.
