Two important games are on the program for Union Perg at the end of the first half of the Upper Austria League. Coach Jürgen Prandstätter’s team will play against Ostermiething tomorrow and next week against FC Wels. After four defeats in a row, two victories should be against the two stragglers. “The goal is six points, but we have to want to win more than our opponents and bring the virtues that made us strong at the beginning of the season onto the pitch,” says coach Prandstätter. The Pergers are currently in 13th place in the table. Prandstätter: “The start was good, the second third was mixed, now we’ll see.”
The other two Mühlviertler clubs are doing better, especially fourth-placed St. Martin has played a strong first half of the season so far. Tomorrow the Hartl-Elf welcomes FC Wels. The SPG Pregarten is already playing at Edelweiß Linz today. In the last round there is a direct encounter.
The last two rounds in the Landesliga Ost promise excitement. There are only three points between first and sixth place. Bad Leonfelden holds the pole position, despite a recent defeat. The Kurstädter want to defend the lead in the table with a win in the Mühlviertel duel against Putzleinsdorf. Rohrbach-Berg still has good chances if they win today in the top game at Donau Linz.
The autumn champions in the district leagues north and east are already fixed. Both Katsdorf and Naarn are on course to return to the Landesliga after their relegation. Naarn plays tomorrow in Schiedlberg, Katsdorf against Julbach.
