Two 13-year-olds committed brutal robberies in Linz

After extensive investigations by the criminal department of the Linz City Police Command, a 13-year-old Austrian from the Kirchdorf district and a 13-year-old Romanian citizen from Linz were identified as the perpetrators of two brutal crimes.

On October 16, 2022, at around 4:30 a.m., they attacked a 48-year-old from Linz on Goethestrasse and stole his wallet, cell phone and cigarettes. They punched and kicked the man. They then used the stolen ATM card at a cigarette machine. Just a short time later, at around 6 a.m., the two attacked a 20-year-old from the Gmunden district at Linz’s main train station and robbed him of his wallet, mobile phone, wristwatch and jacket, also using massive violence.

Both victims were injured in the brutal attacks. The two 13-year-olds filmed their actions with their cell phones. They confessed to the interrogations and stated that they simply wanted to “pull” the victims. They don’t care that their victims are sometimes seriously injured. According to the 13-year-old Romanian, it’s funny to step on other people’s heads. During a voluntary inspection of the accused’s homes, the debit cards, mobile phones and jacket of a victim were found.

The boys are reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
