Cheating with a mini camera was discovered during the driver’s license test

A 21-year-old Syrian tried to get his theory test passed with a mini-camera and mini-earphones built into his sweater. However, the inspection supervisor discovered the transparent antenna. A 23-year-old from Vienna was found out as a “sayer”, it said on Friday.

The test took place in Graz on Wednesday. The 21-year-old took part, but the supervisor discovered the small antenna on one ear that led to the earphones. When the police were called, the officials found a mini-camera with transmitter and battery in the sweater. The camera lens was hidden behind a small hole in the sweater that was barely visible between the print.

Several thousand euros for help

The cheater admitted during the survey that he became aware of the “help” with the driver’s license test on a social media platform on the Internet. The whisperer advertised that he had “helped” with several exams in different European countries. The 21-year-old had paid several thousand euros for the “help”. The suspicious provider in Vienna could be found out through clues.

“This manipulation of a driver’s license test is the 86th case of this kind. There are always new groups of perpetrators. The criminal investigation into this is ongoing,” said chief investigator Johann Klammler from the Graz-Karlauerstrasse police station.
