The 35th edition of the Pesenbachtal-Lauf was a big running festival on Saturday: A total of more than 500 participants followed the call of the Sportunion Feldkirchen to one of the great classics of the Mühlviertel running scene.

In the morning, 270 children and young people in Lacken – the youngest were just two years old – embarked on a sporting adventure at the inn in Pesenbach and mastered distances of between 50 and 1350 meters in length, depending on the age group.

For the main run, which started in the afternoon, the route was slightly changed compared to previous years. It led over a distance of eleven kilometers from Lacken on forest and farm tracks through the picturesque Pesenbachtal to the Kerzenstein and back again. The fastest women’s run was achieved by 22-year-old Kerstin Springer in a strong 44:24 minutes ahead of Andrea Springer (both Union Rohrbach-Berg) in 48:25 minutes and Karin Eckerstorfer (49:05; Team Melasan Sport). A runner from the young guard also prevailed in the men’s category: 23-year-old TriRun runner Rafael Lukatsch completed the course in 40:10 minutes and won with a lead of eight seconds over Christian Guttenbrunner (KU Linz). With Stefan Springer in third place, the Springer running dynasty was also on the podium for the men.

In the Feldkirch community ranking, Simone Wögerbauer and Andreas Wolfmayr came out on top. The FF Bad Mühllacken won the fire brigade rating.
