The seven-day incidence was 327.8 cases per 100,000 population. The number of laboratory-confirmed active cases fell to 46,610, down almost 27 percent in one week.
Another death related to the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus was registered in the past 24 hours, and 34 such deaths were registered within seven days. Overall, the Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 21,037 lives in Austria since it broke out.
1,209 patients in the hospital
As of Sunday morning, there were 1,309 infected people in the hospital, two fewer than the day before. Within a week there was a decrease of 673. 85 people are cared for in intensive care units. This number has not changed since yesterday and has decreased by 15 patients within a week.
The positive rate of 109,900 PCR tests on Saturday was 5.4 percent below the average for the past week. Here, 5.9 percent of the tests carried out delivered a positive result.
In Upper Austria, the state crisis management team reported 495 new corona cases on Sunday.
