ASZ Attersee-Nord before the opening

From mid-November, the new waste collection center (ASZ) Attersee-Nord at the new location in industrial area 10 will be available to citizens for the disposal of their waste. The two old ASZ in Lenzing and Seewalchen are now closing: the last opening day there is today. The first regular opening day of the ASZ Attersee-Nord is on Monday, November 14th. The official opening will take place on Friday.

Large containers for the disposal of bulky waste, waste wood, scrap iron and two cardboard presses are available in the covered saw-tooth ramp without having to use a climbing aid. ReVital goods can also be handed in, these are things that are no longer used but still working and that are given a second life in the ReVital shop in cooperation with Volkshilfe. The options for disposing of packaging have been greatly expanded. “Especially in the case of plastic packaging, it is evident that disposal in a waste collection center is the better alternative, ecologically and economically, since the recycling rate is higher than that of the yellow bag,” emphasizes Manuela Gschwandtner, chairwoman of the Vöcklabruck district waste association.

The new ASZ is the contact point for the citizens of Seewalchen, Lenzing, Schörfling, Weyregg, Aurach and Gampern. This means that around 20,000 residents in these communities have a modern disposal option.
