Shooting gallery and a clean slate: the tops and flops of the fall season

Shooting gallery and a clean slate: the tops and flops of the fall season

Whether it’s a goal factory, a shooting gallery or a special promise from the champions: the past autumn season had a lot to offer. The OÖN combed through the statistics and looked in the rear-view mirror – those were the tops and flops of the first half of the season.

The best offense: With a 6:1 away win at Neuhofen’s 1c team, Askö Ampflwang said goodbye to the 2nd class west for the winter break. Coach Christian Biel’s team was not only able to celebrate many goals in the autumn final – his team scored a total of 55 times.

The goalscorer: 25 direct hits – no kicker has hit the opponent’s goal more often this fall than Julian Friedl in the 1st class north at SV Haslach. The attacker also scored a goal in yesterday’s home game against Eidenberg/Geng (4:0) – and won the autumn championship title with his team.

The best defense: Two clubs only had to concede five goals in the autumn: Schwanenstadt’s defense was solid in the 4-0 win against Neukirchen in the southern district league. The district league east club Naarn ended the first half of the season at Schiedlberg (0-0) with a clean sheet – and thus again without conceding a goal.

White autumn waistcoat: Unbeaten through the autumn season – a total of eight clubs did that: TSV Aurolzmünster (2nd West: eleven wins, two draws), SV Lambrechten (1st Class Northwest: ten wins, two draws), Sportunion Saxen (1st Northeast: nine wins , four draws), SC Schwanenstadt (District League South: nine wins, four draws), Union Nebelberg (2nd Northwest: nine wins, two draws), FC Pischelsdorf (2nd Southwest: nine wins, four draws), St. Martin 1b (1st North: eight wins, four draws) and Pettenbach 1b (2nd class 1b: eight wins, three draws).

The excitement: It was the big excitement in the football lower house this fall season. At Landesliga-Ost-Klub SV Traun, almost a complete eleven boycotted their coach Markus Erbschwendtner because they were not satisfied with their coach. During one game, the boycotting players gathered together in the stands and watched the game from the outside. Captain and ringleader Pero Rakusic was then suspended. Some strike kickers apologized to the club and their coach and returned to the squad. The club wants to separate from others in the winter.

The Shooting Gallery: You can feel sorry for the goalkeepers from the Upper Austrian division ATSV Stadl-Paura: they had to get the ball out of the goal 100 times in the autumn. On average, they conceded more than seven goals per game.

The Master Promise: “If we’re promoted, then I’ll walk to the longest away game,” said Kurt Koblmüller last season when his club, SV Lichtenberg, was still playing second-class football in the north center. After the championship title was clinched in June, the promise was fulfilled in the autumn. A delegation of fans from Lichtenberg covered almost 60 kilometers to make the pilgrimage to Klaffer for the away game.

The youth reform: In Austrian youth football, no stone was left unturned in the summer. A few months after the start of the new youth reform of the ÖFB – teams and playing fields became smaller, the playing time more structured, with the little ones there are four instead of two goals – the reactions are consistently positive.
