The number of people with dementia will increase sharply in the coming years. The suffering, characterized by memory loss and increasing need for help in all areas of life, is increasing as a result of demographic change.
Those affected in Wels can find help in the city’s dementia service center, which is housed in the new premises of the Neustadt retirement home (Flurgasse 40). Anyone who notices a change in themselves or others that could indicate dementia can contact their staff. In addition to consultations and clarification, there is holistic, stage-specific resource training in smaller groups. Training is available for family members.
