Corona: Fewer and fewer hospital patients

This is below the average for the past seven days, with 4,209 new cases added every day. The seven-day incidence fell to 326.3 cases per 100,000 population. The number of hospitals has also continued to decline. As of Monday morning, there were 1,257 infected people in the hospital, 52 fewer than on Sunday.

Within a week there was a decrease of 628 patients who tested positive. 85 people are being cared for in intensive care units. This number has not changed since yesterday and has decreased by 13 patients within a week. However, the way the numbers were recorded was changed again last week. Post- and long-Covid patients who are no longer infectious are no longer included in the Covid statistics. So far, Vienna, for example, had also included the post-Covid or long-Covid patients on the wards who were no longer positive. Since then, only numbers of infectious people who are in normal wards have been reported to the so-called capacity survey tool (KET).

For comparison, in Vorarlberg, with 166.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, almost half as few fatalities have been registered as in Carinthia.
