The cost of electricity has increased by around 200 percent in recent months. It is a major challenge, especially for people with a lower income, to cover these price increases. The Pinsdorf-based company M-TEC will relieve them over the next two years. The heat pump manufacturer and specialist for energy management solutions assumes the additional electricity costs for all employees who earn less than 3000 euros gross. “This also applies to future employees after the trial month,” says Managing Director Peter Huemer and promises: “The M-TEC electricity cost cap will be paid out in advance and unbureaucratically.”
“Our employees do a lot for our development,” says Huemer. “As a company, we also have a responsibility to look out for you. Especially in such challenging times.”
The measure is also likely to be due to the shortage of skilled workers. The extremely successful and expansive company is experiencing a boom in heat pumps over the past few months and expects the number of its production employees to double.
In order to make the calculation as unbureaucratic as possible, calculations are made using average values. The amount consumed is calculated on the basis of a typical 4-person household at around 2,500 KWh per year. With additional costs of around 40 cents per kWh, the electricity cost brake is around € 1,000 per year. This amount is paid in advance for the coming year. In the end, it’s around €85 net per month more for employees to have in their accounts.
