“The aim was to show that there are many ways to get involved on a voluntary basis, from sports clubs to the Red Cross, fire brigade and mountain rescue services,” says Landeshautmann Thomas Stelzer.
It is important, above all, to inspire children and young people to volunteer in organizations and clubs. School classes, among others, were therefore invited to visit the Volunteer Day. In addition, legal advice for clubs and information on “Ehrenamtsversicherung+” was offered.
At the beginning of the event, children and young people received a “volunteer pass” – this was stamped directly at the individual stations by completing a wide variety of tasks. More about the volunteer day in Schärding in the Thursday edition.
