Klaus Aichmair has been the face of the Vöcklabruck volunteer fire brigade for eleven years – that’s how long he’s been in charge of the fire department as commander. Member of the state parliament Michaela Langer-Weninger used the 150th anniversary of the FF Vöcklabruck to present Aichmair with the Upper Austrian Fire Service Cross of Merit, 3rd level.
The Fire Service Cross of Merit is awarded to people who have rendered excellent tactical, technical or organizational achievements or have rendered excellent service to the Upper Austrian fire service.
Klaus Aichmair has been an active member of the Vöcklabruck volunteer fire brigade for 35 years. In addition, the district fire brigade command can count on his support at any time – among other things as commander of the fire extinguishing and disaster platoon of the district fire brigade command Vöcklabruck.
Aichmair accepted the award with long applause and standing ovations and dedicated it to “his” entire team.
