On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the Kirchdorf district waste association invited to an anniversary celebration in the Micheldorf amusement park. In addition to the representatives of the association, community representatives and employees of the BAV, many guests from politics and business also came to congratulate.
The chairman of the BAV Kirchdorf, Mayor Gerhard Lindbichler, opened the celebration and went into the special features of the founding protocol. “History was made in Kirchdorf on August 12, 1982. The communities have agreed to jointly organize the tasks of waste disposal and landfill.” The Board of Directors had the task of getting the BAV off the ground and, as a first step, building the waste management center with a sorting facility in Inzersdorf. Environment Councilor Stefan Kaineder (Greens) was surprised that the BAV in Kirchdorf has been in existence for 40 years: “It is interesting that it started ten years earlier in the Kirchdorf district.” Kaineder asked for full support “so that we can convert the whole country to a circular economy over the next four years”.
