There was a fire in the garbage room of the fast food restaurant on Tuesday. A district fire investigator from the police was also able to quickly determine the cause: a cigarette in the residual waste. A cigarette is said to have started the fire in the garbage room last night. “It is dubious, but there is nothing to indicate a series of fires. That is the status of the current investigation,” said the Braunau district police command when asked by OÖN. Only employees of the fast food branch can enter the garbage room.
Two of them had to be taken to the hospital after the fire on Tuesday. The fire produced a significant amount of smoke in the garbage room. The alerted firefighters were able to quickly extinguish both fires and extract smoke from the room.
