Junge Liste criticizes the Pasching austerity package

As reported, saving is the order of the day in the municipality of Pasching. When the fundamental decision on the austerity package was voted on Thursday, however, there was no political consensus. The Junge List ultimately disagreed.

The stumbling block and thus the reason for the rejection is that the faction funds, as Öfferlbauer calls them, are only reduced by 25 percent, but are not completely abolished. The Junge Liste had previously repeatedly demanded that the said training funds, which would run parallel to the generous party funding, be completely stopped.

“From our point of view, massive increases in fees with simultaneous payment of the parliamentary group funds are simply not arguable,” says Peter Öfferlbauer. The sometimes double-digit percentage increases in fees would mean a noticeable additional burden for the population in these difficult times. As reported, the garbage fee will be increased by 15 percent by 2023. In addition, among other things, it is planned to increase the dog tax from 35 to 50 euros.

If Öfferlbauer has his way, Pasching should take Traun as a role model, since the fees would not be increased there.
