Car not roadworthy – drug driver rammed oncoming traffic

The 26-year-old from Aspach drove around 6.30 p.m. with his car, which was not registered for traffic, on Weikerdinger Straße in the direction of Mauerkirchenerstraße. A 34-year-old Bosnian was in the passenger seat. At the intersection of the two streets, there was a collision with a car coming from Weng im Innkreis, and a 33-year-old from Altheim was behind the wheel. The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the road and came to a standstill in a field. All three vehicle occupants were injured and had to be taken to the Braunau hospital.

Aggressive handlebar

The alcohol test at the 26-year-old showed a value of 1.08 per mille. His driver’s license was provisionally taken from him on the spot. Since both the 26-year-old and the 34-year-old behaved aggressively during treatment in the hospital, both are reported for several administrative violations. In addition, the 26-year-old was found to have an addiction, according to the police. When asked to do so, however, he refused a clinical examination.
