“Nestroy”: Samouil Stoyanov from Linz is “Best Actor”

He was born in Bulgaria, grew up in Linz, was a stage event as an actor at the Vienna Volkstheater and has been a Nestroy Prize winner in the category “Best Actor” since yesterday evening: Samouil Stoyanov was named after Ernst for his role in “humanistää! Stoyanov dropped out of school at the age of 18, studied at the Reinhardt Seminar and immediately joined the Munich Kammerspiele. The actor turned down two offers from the Burgtheater and has been a member of the ensemble at the Vienna Volkstheater since 2020.

Sarah Viktoria Frick as Aloisia in “Adern” by Lisa Wentz in the Academy Theater was awarded best actress yesterday at Vienna’s Arsenal. Marie-Louise Stockinger, who was also nominated in this category and was born in St. Florian, received nothing (“Zdenek Adamec”, Burgtheater). Garland by Svenja Viola Bungarten at the Schauspielhaus Graz was chosen as the best federal state performance. Here the Landestheater Linz was nominated with “The Adventures of the Good Soldier Schwejk”. Just like Christian Higer in the category “Best Supporting Actor”. Elias Eilinghoff (“Karoline und Kasimir” in the Volkstheater) won this prize.

Stefan Jürgens (“SOKO Donau”) won the audience award, the award for life’s work went to Elisabeth Orth.
