The quality of the bus is good, the conditions for use were almost perfect, according to an SBS statement: “The interior for the passengers did not have to be heated or cooled, and the battery did not need any additional cooling either. For operation on a full-day tour, which has a length of about 330 kilometers, the manufacturer still has to make “optimizations” in order to enable 100% use in public transport in the city of Steyr. However, one notices the constant further development of the technology, especially the ranges have improved since the last testing of an electric bus.
The SBS have already tested electric buses from MAN and EvoBus, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler.
