ÖAMTC and the police helped defective cars to light up

On average, every fifth driver is on the road with a defective lighting system. The defects range from incorrectly adjusted to dirty and damaged to defective headlights. Proper functioning of the lighting is essential, especially at this time of year. Not just to see enough, but also to be seen in time.

In a joint action, ÖAMTC technicians and police officers have posted themselves on the federal roads in the districts of Vöcklabruck and Gmunden in the past few days to stop cars with inadequate lighting. However, their drivers did not receive a warning, but a free repair. There was even a new lamp for 54 drivers. “If we have avoided even a single dangerous situation, the campaign is a complete success,” says district inspector GeorgMagera, traffic officer for the district of Gmunden.
