Clapper repaired: after a year’s break, the 11 bell rings again

The repair of the bell has now been completed, reports the parish: After the patronal mass for the church patron, St. Martin on November 13, she was blessed by Father Georg in the bell tower, dialect poet Alois Kutsam recited a poem he had written himself. Since then, the 11 bell has been ringing again.

Mayor Karl Josef Stegh, the deputy chairman of the parish church council, reported on the costs of the repair: for the new clapper and tuning the bell, the Graßmayr bell foundry from Innsbruck received 6,427.20 euros, the welding work by the Tannhäuser smithy from Ybbsitz amounted to 690, 72 euros. Several parishioners also helped with the work. To cover these costs, a charity Advent concert will be held in the parish church on December 10th, where the Behamberg music association, the “d’Huznbleiba” singers’ group and the fire brigade women’s choir will take part.
