The order is clear, a victory is needed. And the snakes must have their fangs pulled out.
The first home game takes place in the Kepler Hall on the JKU campus. Active support should not only come from the fans, but also from the cheerleading team.
The women start the season at 5 p.m. and the men at 6.30 p.m. However, the starting position could be better, because in the preparatory games against the TU Wien Robots, the newly formed men’s and women’s teams suffered hefty defeats. A small consolation: the fans and atmosphere were already masterly. The Astros, whose logo shows a space duck, want to “at least annoy” the favorite – and are speculating on a surprise.
The JKU is the first university outside of Vienna to take part in the Austrian College Sports League. Admission costs eight euros, for students five euros. Tickets and further information at acsl.at/produkt/ticket-acsl-basketball-gameday-2-in-linz
