Atmospheric Advent in the Grottenbahn

Atmospheric Advent in the Grottenbahn

Out of the winter break and into the pre-Christmas fun is the motto for the dragon Sebastian and the other residents of the Grottenbahn again this year in the Advent season.

The Grottenbahn is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the four Sundays in Advent and on December 8th. In addition, the “Lenzibald” dragon train will also be doing its rounds on December 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Important to note: The last kite ride always takes place 30 minutes before the end of operations.

“Ideal preparation for the best time of the year”

“During Advent, the Grottenbahn is a fairytale experience for young and old. A trip to the realm of fairytales and gnomes is the ideal way to get in the mood for the loveliest time of the year. I particularly recommend a visit on December 24th. With Lenzibald and Co., the waiting time for the Christ child flies by. In addition, a sweet surprise awaits every child,” says Linz AG CEO Jutta Rinner.

You can also bring Sebastian and his friends home very easily – with the help of an augmented reality tool, with which Sebastian and the fairytale characters become life-size photo motifs. The Grottenbahn podcast also promises variety with its exciting fairy tales and stories (information at grottenbahn.at).

Every 15 minutes for the Pöstlingbergbahn

As a service for everyone arriving by public transport, the Pöstlingbergbahn runs more frequently on the Sundays in Advent, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. every 15 minutes. In addition, on December 24th, there is normal operation until 7.30 p.m. (last ascent 7 p.m., last descent 7.30 p.m.).
