Within a week there was a decrease of 107 patients. 76 people are currently being cared for in intensive care units. That number has increased by four since yesterday. Within a week, a total of seven seriously ill people were added.
The seven-day incidence is now 292 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. There are currently 40,004 laboratory-confirmed active cases in Austria, 246 more than the day before.

Overall, the Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 21,143 lives in Austria since it broke out. 234.2 infected people have already died per 100,000 inhabitants.
A total of 134,591 rapid PCR and antigen tests were registered on Friday. Of these, 93,135 were meaningful PCR tests, the positive rate was 4.6 percent. On average, 80,606 PCR analyzes were carried out every day in the past week, 4.7 percent delivered positive results.
