On the Facebook page, Club Q, where the incident is said to have taken place, invites people to drag shows, transgender-related events and karaoke, among other things. In a statement, the club said it was “shocked by the senseless attack on our community”. Heroic guests were thanked for their quick response in overpowering the gunman and stopping the hate attack, the club wrote on Facebook.
