Man pulled ex into car and drove off: accident

The accident happened because the woman then grabbed the steering wheel. Both fled, but were investigated and reported.

A vehicle driver called the police on Sunday morning after seeing a vehicle involved in an accident next to the state road in St. Barbara im Mürztal (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district). Because nobody was by the car, fire brigades searched for the victims of the accident with thermal imaging drones. A police patrol finally met the slightly injured 31-year-old passenger and later also investigated the 30-year-old driver who was also slightly injured.

The 31-year-old said her ex-partner had taken her cell phone. When she wanted to get it back, the 30-year-old was already in the vehicle, pulled her into the car and drove off with her against her will. While driving, the 31-year-old grabbed the steering wheel twice, and the second time the accident finally happened. The driver was reported for several crimes, an entry and approach ban was issued. The passenger was reported for negligent bodily harm.
