Exactly 7758 visitors did not miss the “House and Living” trade fair in the Linz Design Center from Friday to Sunday. Although that is less than in 2019, according to Managing Director Thomas Jungreithmair, it is still more than expected. The reasons lie in the challenging market environment. High construction costs and interest on loans are forcing many a home builder to put off their dream home. Nevertheless, the 110 exhibitors were very satisfied, because firstly, expectations were clearly exceeded and secondly, contacts with customers were more intensive. Instead of quantity, the trade fair offered quality this year. “Our platform has fulfilled exactly what we wanted,” says Jungreithmair.
The current crises are also reflected in the trends. Sustainability and energy saving were the top themes at the fair, as were smart homes. Anyone who builds their own home today wants to produce, store and intelligently distribute their renewable energy themselves. The trend is clearly towards photovoltaics.
Parquet system with heating
A particular highlight at the trade fair was a parquet system with integrated full-carbon comfort heating. When it comes to furnishing, bold, bold colors are particularly in demand.
Both organizers and exhibitors are satisfied with the comeback of the trade fair after a two-year Corona break. For the next year one is confident that the fair will grow again. In any case, the date has already been set: the next “Haus und Wohnen” will take place from November 17th to 19th, 2023 in the Design Center. (cdi)
