Naomi Biden, the 28-year-old granddaughter of US President Joe Biden (80), and her partner Peter Neal said yes on the south lawn of the property at a cool five degrees. The ceremony was attended by 250 guests, both the wedding dress and the groom’s suit came from the US fashion house Ralph Lauren, the Washington Post reported. The celebration was classified as strictly private, press representatives were not allowed.
In love in two days
Naomi Biden and 25-year-old Peter Neal met in 2018. They fell in love within two days, wrote a friend on Instagram. Both are lawyers and live with the presidential couple in the White House. Joe Biden, who also celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday, is very close to his grandchildren. They even accompany their “pop” to official occasions.
It was Naomi’s 19th White House wedding and the first granddaughter of a president to be married here. Previously, it was mostly daughters – like Tricia Nixon in 1971 – or other family members like First Lady Hillary Clinton’s brother in 1994. Grover Cleveland’s 1886 wedding is the only one to date of a president in the White House. A wedding celebration is one of the private expenses that have to be paid out of your own pocket.
