The next official executive committee meeting of the ÖFB is planned for December 16th. Apparently Gerhard Götschhofer doesn’t want to wait that long. In order to clarify the cause of the ÖFB President Gerhard Milletich internally, the ÖFB Vice President and head of the Upper Austrian association should convene an unofficial meeting of the Executive Committee for December 2nd in Linz. The “Kurier” reported on Monday, after which “all the information should be on the table”.
“I want an honest and internal review with the greatest possible transparency,” Götschhofer is quoted as saying. “Everyone should present their information openly and honestly. I will do the same.” This should also avoid taking the disputes publicly.
In the newspaper in question, ÖFB sponsors had recently anonymously voiced the accusation that the ÖFB boss would use his office to get advertisements for his private magazines. Milletich denied the allegations and threatened to sue. According to “Kurier”, this has not yet been completed.
