It is touching to see the great commitment with which artists support Upper Austria’s largest fundraising campaign for compatriots in need. On December 9th (7.30 p.m.) they celebrate at the Christkindl Gala the OÖN in the Linzer Schauspielhaus an evening of solidarity. All participants waive their fees, the net proceeds benefit those in need throughout the country.

“No question, I’ll be there,” says Daniela Dett. The musical star and audience favorite of the Landestheater will surprise the audience with his singing and hidden worlds of St. Nicholas.

the St. Florian Boys’ Choir will be experienced as well as the zither luminary Wilfried Sharp: “I’m glad if I can help.” Scharf is bringing his ensemble from the Academy for Zither and related stringed instruments.

The evening will be moderated and musically framed by Eric Papilaya. It becomes cheerful to contemplative, for example when the atmospheric combo Alpkanthe children and young people of Musical Theater Academy Puchenau under the direction of Susanne Kerblthe Linz Kolping Choir and the Innviertel Phylloxera Quartet interpret their Christmas spirit.

Burgtheater actress Marie Luise Stockinger comes to the state stage with a reading and that Ensemble TANZ LINZ of the Landestheater allows first insights into the ballet production “Sleeping Beauty”, which premieres on December 23rd.

The Christkindl doesn’t only have its big appearance on Christmas Eve, but already on December 9th. Let this evening accompany you into the loveliest time of the year.

“Countess Mariza” on December 1 at the Music Theater

Traditionally, the Linzer Landestheater and the Christkindl campaign of the OÖ Nachrichten cooperate. The net proceeds from the celebrated operetta performance “Gräfin Mariza” by Emmerich Kalman on December 1 (7.30 p.m.) in the Linz Music Theater will go to the charity for compatriots in need.

In the leading roles, Carina Tybjerg Madsen inspire as Countess Mariza and Matjaz Stopinsek as Count Tassilo.
