Brazil applies sanitary measures against Covid-19
The Brazilian health regulator, National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA)announced late on Tuesday that certain issues will be required again:
- Face masks at airports and on all flights
- Masks on public transport and other closed spaces
In detail, the agency ordered that as of Friday the mask must be used, the obligation of which had been annulled in August.
It also decided to approve the use of two new vaccines manufactured by Pfizer Inc that protect against the BA.1 and BA.4/BA.5 subvariants, as well as against the parent virus, to be used as boosters.

This Tuesday there were 27,931 infections, with an average of 18,592 per day in the last week, an increase of 261% compared to the figure of 14 days ago. The total number of infected since the start of the pandemic rose to 35,094,130 and the number of deaths reached 689,223.
