Brazen knife sellers took 600 euros from their victim

The duo, who were traveling in a silver-grey car with Polish license plates, stopped their victim on Tuesday around 10:15 a.m. in the Schlierbach area (Kirchdorf an der Krems district). When the 64-year-old stopped his car, the two men ripped open the doors of his car and, without being asked, loaded a chainsaw, a pot and sets of knives.

perpetrators on the run

One of the perpetrators is said to have held a knife in his hand. The intimidated victim handed the perpetrators 600 euros, but the brazen scammers were not satisfied with that. Because they demanded more money, they drove together in their vehicles to the 64-year-old’s place of work. There the man fled into the building, whereupon the perpetrators fled the dust.

A search was launched immediately, but so far has been negative. The items in the 64-year-old’s vehicle were secured and the investigation is ongoing, the police said on Wednesday afternoon.

It was not until the end of October that a similar case in the Innviertel caused a stir: two men who were traveling in a car with a Polish license plate followed a 72-year-old near Pischelsdorf near Engelbach (Braunau am Inn district) and waited in a parking lot. One of the men is said to have tried extremely aggressively to sell the pensioner sets of knives. When the Innviertler refused, the suspect is said to have put five sets of knives in his car and demanded money for them:
