Mayor Christian Partoll (FP) and Thomas Mayr-Stockinger, hotelier and chairman of the Ansfelden association overnight.
Partoll sees the success as confirmation of the city’s efforts “in terms of tourism and cultural and leisure activities”. Mayr-Stockinger emphasizes the variety offered by hotels, inns and taverns from all price ranges. “In Ansfelden, the traditional cuisine as well as Delicacies from all over the world,” he says.
Bruckner anniversary 2024
Expectations for 2023 and 2024 are high: next year Ansfelden will celebrate its 35th anniversary as a city, and 2024 will be all about the Bruckner anniversary. As is well known, the successful composer was born in Ansfelden in 1824. Bruckner as “one of the greatest musical geniuses in the world” has already been honored with the cultural program that has been running since 2019, says Partoll: “Ansfelden is moving into the world public eye and is becoming a magnet for people interested in culture from near and far.”
Three big concerts are also planned in the Kremspark next summer: Nena, Seiler & Speer and Michael Patrick Kelly will rock the stage there. Partoll is certain that 2023 will be a strong cultural year: “We are clearly positioning ourselves as the number one tourist destination, and overnight stays and thus economic power in Ansfelden will continue to increase.”
