A young moped driver was hit by the vehicle of an 80-year-old Lower Austrian on the B3 Danube federal road late yesterday afternoon. The 15-year-old from the Perg district drove at 4:25 p.m. from Perg in the direction of Grein and wanted to turn left onto a goods road at the Puchberg junction. At the same time, the 80-year-old from the Amstetten district was also driving his car in the direction of Grein. He failed to see the turning moped handlebars and the two vehicles collided. The 15-year-old was taken to the UKH-Linz for further treatment after emergency medical care. The driver of the car was not injured. Significant material damage occurred on both vehicles. The B3 had to be closed on both sides for about 45 minutes during the rescue operation.
