The Economic and Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA) accuses Benko and eight other entrepreneurs of having achieved advantages in the dedication process of the Greens’ planning spokesman Chorherr with donations to his social association.
In fact, in 2011, Benkos Signa Holding transferred the amount of 100,000 euros to the S2Arch association. The WKStA suspects that a major Signa project at Vienna Central Station was behind it. Which Benko vehemently denied. The master plan for the project had been decided years before. He didn’t even know that there was a connection between the choirmaster and the association.
Judge Michael Tolstiuk ordered ex-planning councilor Maria Vassilakou (Greens) to be summoned for one of the next sessions.
