“You can tell he’s passionate about hockey.” A description of a listener that applied to Puls24 and Hockey-O’Clock presenter Martin Pfanner, but probably applied to everyone in the VIP club of the Linz-AG-Eisarena on Saturday evening. Pfanner recorded the 100th episode of his podcast live, in front of an audience. In front of a good 50 die-hard fans, the moderator from Vorarlberg asked for three thirds of the conversation with four different guests.
Black Wings head coach Philipp Lukas, who in the 99 previous episodes with a total of 15 hours of speaking time in various functions is the most heard guest of the podcast, started and spoke about the development of the people of Linz under his aegis. About values that are important to him. And about players he got and which ones he didn’t want.
In the second part of the conversation, Pfanner steered the interview with the youth leaders Robert Lukas (Linz) and Markus Peintner (Klagenfurt) from their time together as a player with the Black Wings to some anecdotes to the topic of junior ice hockey.
The final third was the usual relaxed conversation with Greg Holst, during which the ice hockey legend repeatedly emphasized what a good and important ice hockey location Linz is. Of course, talks with the Austro-Canadian are not without humour. If you want to know why Holst drinks beer with salt and what ice hockey is all about in Canada, you should listen on Wednesday.
“I’m happy to be able to do a small part with my podcasts to ensure that ice hockey is on the rise again. I would like to thank you for the hospitality, which the Black Wings and partners have made possible here, I am very honored,” said Pfanner after the recording.
Armin Biedermann, who, like surprise guest Markus Peintner, traveled from Klagenfurt, had to travel the longest distance for a fan.
