In the telecom sector, the fifth round of negotiations is scheduled for Monday, it is about the 10,000 employees at the state-owned, listed A1 Telekom. Negotiations will start at 4 p.m. If the social partners do not agree, there is a risk of strikes. An application for strike approval has already been submitted to the ÖGB. A salary increase of 10.6 percent is required.
“If there is no final offer from the board of directors on the table in the next round of negotiations on Monday evening, we will interrupt the negotiations. Then we will discuss on Tuesday morning together with the A1 workforce at works meetings taking place across Austria how we will respond,” said A1 – Works council chief Werner Luksch announced last week.
