Sweden’s Hanna Öberg was the measure of all things at the women’s Biathlon World Cup opener in Kontiolahti yesterday in the 15 km individual. She won ahead of Norway’s Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (+36.5 sec.). Like the Austrian men the day before, the ÖSV women did not achieve a top result. Lisa Hauser was the best Austrian with three penalties in 32nd place.
There is already a chance of redemption today. For the women, the relay competition continues today (1:35 p.m.). Before that, it’s the men’s turn (10.55 a.m., both live ORF1).
