After a two-year break due to corona, the popular Eferdinger Schlossadvent will open its doors again this weekend. Starhemberg Castle is the atmospheric backdrop for the Christmas market with around 90 exhibitors presenting a wide range of gift ideas in the courtyard, in the extended and renovated vaults on the ground floor, in the castle cellar and in the garden salon and spoiling visitors with culinary delights.
Old craftsmanship is also revived at the traditional event. Lace is made, brooms are tied and coins are minted, and visitors can try blueprints for themselves. Cute alpacas are waiting for the youngest visitors in front of the castle gate. The children can draw candles and forge iron together.
Admission costs five euros, a season ticket for both days is available for eight euros. Admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 15. The Advent market is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
