The line-up for the eleventh season of “Klassik am Dom” in the coming summer remains true to its motto “Legends”: After Norah Jones (July 18), Placido Domingo (July 26), and David Garrett (August 4) Organizer Simon Ertl is now presenting the Italian superstar Eros Ramazzotti and the two Austropop warhorses Wolfgang Ambros and Gert Steinbäcker.
The legendary duo opens the “Klassik am Dom” series with a double concert with a band on July 13th. You can hear the “greatest hits” of the two – from “Hofa”, “Zwickt’s mi” and the “Zentralfriedhof” to “Grandpa”, “Kalt und kalter” and “Sometime I’ll stay there”.
On July 28, Eros Ramazzotti will be making a guest appearance with his “Battito Infinito World Tour” on the picturesque square next to Linz’s Mariendom. In total, the charismatic Italian has already sold more than 70 million records in his 35-year career. His new album is again about love and boundless freedom.
Classic, Jazz and Soul
On July 18th, Norah Jones, an absolute world star in the genre of jazz and soul, will make a guest appearance in Linz, on July 26th singer and conductor Placido Domingo will give a gala evening under the Mariendom, and on August 4th violin feschak David Garrett will present in Linz his new CD “Iconic” with works by Bach, Dvorák, Mendelssohn and Schumann.
