The cloudy weather of the past week continues on Saturday: In large parts of Upper Austria, the weekend begins quite cloudy due to fog and high fog. Only in the Mühlviertel and in the southern highlands does the sun shine until the early afternoon.
Then dense clouds spread from the south over the entire country, which only rarely let the sun’s rays through. The minimum temperatures on Saturday are minus two to plus two degrees, the maximum between zero and five degrees.
Sunday morning turns out to be friendlier: From early in the morning, sunny weather conditions gradually prevail throughout Upper Austria. The temperatures in the southern mountains reach up to ten degrees.
But even on the last day of the week, denser clouds will pass again at noon. In the lowlands there is a moderate easterly wind with peaks of around 40 km/h. In the southern parts of the country, brisk south-east winds of up to 50 km/h determine the weather conditions.
The weather situation at the start of the week is similar to that of Saturday: in the morning there is high fog in the lowlands, in the mountains and in the Mühlviertel it can be sunny at times.
In the afternoon dense clouds will gather again. Towards the evening, rain will set in from the southwest in the southern and eastern parts of the country. The maximum temperatures on Monday are three to eight degrees.
