The animal jumped at the man and bit into the forearm of the 52-year-old lying on the ground. The man managed to yank the arm out of the dog’s mouth and chase it away. Police are asking for information about the unknown dog.
The incident happened on December 1 between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Paichbergstrasse in the direction of Feldstrasse. The dog suddenly came out of the field from the right and jumped at the man without warning. The walker then fell to the ground and the animal bit its forearm. After the 52-year-old managed to rip his arm out of the dog’s mouth and kicked him in the muzzle, the animal let go of him and ran away in the direction of Feldstraße.
Police are asking for information
The injured man was able to go home himself and was taken to Steyr Hospital by ambulance after the wound was bandaged. The unknown dog was black or brown and of medium size. It could be a shepherd or shepherd mix. Information is received from the Sierning Police Inspectorate on 059133-4153.
