The masked and armed perpetrators entered the house at around 9:30 p.m. through a window on the ground floor and knocked on the front door. The 21-year-old was alone in the apartment at the time and opened the door. The two perpetrators, masked with balaclavas and armed with telescopic batons, pushed the victim back into the apartment and motioned for him to be quiet. One of the two men demanded cash in Upper Austrian dialect, so the victim gave them his wallet.

The perpetrators continued to wave their telescopic batons around, and one emphatically demanded more cash. So the 21-year-old went into the bedroom and gave the perpetrator more cash. The perpetrators also demanded the man’s mobile phone and stole a Playstation including a controller. Finally, they locked the victim in the bedroom and fled the apartment in an unknown direction.
